Fresh, flirty and feminine are the big trends for spring fashion this season but if these looks aren’t for you don’t worry, as there are plenty of diverse looks to suit all kinds of style. The 1970s make a comeback and the biker chick look is also a hot one for this spring. Floral prints are probably the hottest trend for the spring and elegance and glamour are once again back in style. Bright colors and prints are also going to be very popular this season which makes a change from all the neutrals we’ve been seeing over the last few fashion seasons.

The 1970s look was one of the biggest trends on the catwalk this season but this look isn’t as scary as it sounds. Wide legged trousers can look sophisticated and make a change from the ubiquitous skinny jeans that have been around for several seasons now. Maxi dresses remain popular and are a great choice for warmer weather and there are styles and shapes too suit all different body types. Seventies style accessories are also prominent with wedge and cork heeled sandals making a comeback and also wide brimmed floppy hats.

For those who like to look feminine there is good news this spring as elegant dresses, pastel colours and girlish floral prints are big news for this season. Skirts and dresses take inspiration from the 1950s and 1960s with full circle, 50s prom style dresses and 60s pencil skirts and dresses being popular. Floral prints are this season’s fashion ‘must’ and look fresh and feminine. The look is demure and elegant so if you’re an old fashioned girl at heart you are in for a fashion treat!

Don’t worry if all the pastels, florals and girlish dresses don’t sound like you because the biker/rock chick look remains a strong trend for this spring. Skinny jeans that have been ready ripped are still popular as are skin-tight leather jeans. To get the biker look you don’t have to go the whole way, you can just choose items with biker inspired detailing such as studding, buckles and safety pins which can be found on jackets, tops and trousers this spring. Finish it all off with a pair of killer, spiked heel ankle boots and you will have the look down to a tee.

Spring make-up is soft and feminine to go with the all the florals and feminine dresses or bold, bright and glitzy to compliment the 1970s trend. Candy colors and pastel shades are also very popular for the spring and are easy to wear as nail polish if you don’t want to wear these colors on your face. Hair is also soft, loose and feminine but up-dos are popular such as glamorous chignons and bohemian style high ponytails with tumbling curls.
