Five Unique Hotels in New York

New York is a fantastic city to visit and if you’re fond of the unusual here are five very unique styles of hotels and other accommodation that you can find in the big apple.

1. Night – A mish mash of dark gothic and fashionista glamour this hotel really stands out from the crowd. A medium sized hotel with 72 rooms an added bonus is that this hotel is in a great area. The theater district is right on the doorstep. Book in here and you’ll be sure of top end luxury with small but attractive bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and LCD televisions.

2. The Pod – The Pod is perfect for those searching for trendy accommodation on a budget. Clean and modern with funky murals but with shared bathrooms and an option of staying in a bunk bed room, this hotel makes a great choice for the price conscious. The hotel prides itself on customer service and staff will even help you with tourist information and finding tickets to your favourite concerts.

3. Marrakech Hotel – A good choice for a medium sized budget, this hotel promises to bring a little slice of Morocco to Manhattan. Atmospheric and cozy the decor includes Moroccan lamps, colourful ceramic tiles and rich fabrics. All rooms contain home comforts, modern amenities and ecco toiletries. Also check out the surrounding area for cool jazz bars, places to eat and fashion boutiques.

4. The Gershwin – This place offers lower priced accommodation but with an extra effort to make it different Pop art is the focus of the decor and the hotel even has a couple of original prints (including a famous Warhol). With its fun, hip and youthful vibe it’s a good choice for a more unusual hotel and can even choose a dorm style room for an even cheaper option. Also had down to the “Living Room” to catch some great bands and other entertainment shows.

5. The Jane – A nostalgic hotel/hostel with an intriguing edge. This style of accommodation is budget, quirky but comfortable and all the rooms have a distinctive old fashioned train cabin feel. The rooms are small but come with lots of mod cons including flat-screen tvs and ipod dock/clock. Also look out for the unusually dressed staff (bellboys and traditional maid uniforms) and stuffed monkeys!

great list, i found lots of list but those list only mentioned the places that are too common, for sure tourists want a place where they can truly relax and experience a grand vacation, so the common list is a major No since for sure, lots of people are already staying on those residential condominiums or villas or whatever is available.
