How To Be Creative With Womens Clothes

If you are anything like me, you want your wardrobe to reflect your personality and your individuality. You do not want to wear only the latest outfits from the same chain stores each season. Sometimes there is an appalling lack of creativity in womens clothes. There is nothing worse than spotting another woman in the exact same outfit you are wearing, and knowing exactly where she got it. If she looks better in it than you do, you’re angry. If she looks terrible in it, you might start to wonder whether you do, too.
Having your own individual style just requires creativity and persistence. You have to come up with ways to alter current fashions so that they reflect you. It also helps to explore alternative options for shopping, rather than frequenting the same mall or chain stores where everyone else shops. Here are a few different things you can do to add some creativity and variety to your wardrobe.
This is something that I very much wish I knew how to do. If you are able to sew your own clothes, you can make entire outfits that are completely unique. Even if you are unable to sew a whole dress or skirt from scratch, some minor sewing skills can be useful. You can add buttons or patches to your clothes to give them individual flair. Embroidery is another useful skill, and an elegant way to alter clothes.
Other Alterations
Even if you do not know how to sew, there are other ways you can alter your clothes. I had a long dress with beautiful Indian embroidery on it, but it was far too long for me to wear. I held on to it for a long time, trying to figure out a way to use it, and eventually I just took the scissors to it! I cut it to just above knee length, in a diagonal line on each side so that it came to a point in the center. Cutting it created a fringe, as well. It is now one of my favorite pieces of clothing, and completely different from anything I’ve seen for sale.
Shop in Different Places
If you only shop in the same mall stores or boutiques that everyone knows about, you will be limited to the things they carry. These stores often stock only what is in style for a specific season. Each seasons fashions are different, and do not flatter everyone. It could be that the colors that are currently in style make you look completely washed out, or that the currently popular cuts are all wrong for you. It is better to wear something that looks great on you than it is to force yourself into a current fashion that doesn’t work for you.
Thrift stores can be a treasure chest of unique clothing and jewelry items. You can sometimes find things that have been handmade or altered so that they are one of a kind. You can also find things from years or seasons past that perfectly compliment your personal style.
Explore discount stores, too! You will find a wide selection of sizes and colors at affordable prices. This is much better than browsing clearance racks in regular stores, where you find only the oddest sizes and most unpopular colors. Discount stores are a great way to add new items to your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
Women’s Clothes are very trendy in the world today. If you are getting a new outfit for the party, then you may want to look into some matching jewelry to go along with the lovely dress. Accessories can always spice up the outfit.
