The Global Food Phenomenon Of Pizza Pie

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

All the way back in eighteenth century Italy, the pizza was born. The combination of bread and tomato that was to become the pizza we know nowadays began as the food of the poor. It was such a delicious combination that it eventually brought tourists to Naples, the city of its origin, just to try their special combination. Over a hundred years after its creation as a take-away food, the first pizzeria was opened in 1830.

Now in Naples, in order to preserve the authentic original pie, a society called the ‘Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana’ exists, which is the regulating body for the true Neopolitan pizza. Strict rules are put in place stating what temperature it ought to be cooked at, how big it the pie ought to be, and that no machinery, including a rolling pin, can be used in the preparation of the dough.

Concurrently, across Europe and the Middle East pizza was being developed in slightly different ways. In Turkey for instance, the lahmacun was born. This translates directly as ‘meat with bread’, as such, in variation to Neopolitan, the lahmacun consists of flat bread topped with finely chopped pieces of beef or lamb.

Getting To Know The Philippines

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

As I was reading some smoke tip reviews my attention was caught with a blinking icon. I clicked the icon and that i stumbled upon a travelling blog. In the beginning it was just a boring pictures and dull captures. But I still still watch over the images until I realized that I was likely to have a vacation. I don’t know where to go but in the rear of my mind, I’m planning to go to some beaches especially on tropical beaches in the Philippines.

This is an archipelago that is comprised of 7,107 islands. The Philippines is surrounded by seas and ocean, specifically the Pacific Ocean. Definitely, the Philippine borders are coast lines and beaches. It is not hard for Filipinos to consider a beach due to the abundance but many of the beaches were already polluted and also over populated. The process now is to find the natural hidden paradise but where could it be?

As I keep reading the travelling blog, I saw some beach resorts that are located in a small island in Bohol City. The feedbacks were positive and many tourists were in and out of the island. As I read furthermore I have noticed that all of the country had its own beautiful paradise. Such as the famous Boracay Island in Aklan and Pearl Farm Beach Resort in Garden City of Samal to name the few.

Visiting Bangkok

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

Bangkok may conjure up images of a bustling, congested, high-rise, polluted and intense atmosphere, giving it a pretty low rank on people’s lists of places to see. But such appearances are deceptive and there is more to the Thai capital than meets the eye.

Bangkok showcases all the aspects of culture from north, south, east, and west that make it quintessentially Thai. It’s all collected in one place here.

Hotels in the Far East are some of the best in the world and Thailand is no exception to this rule. Service with a smile is everywhere and tourists, or as the Thai’s call them ‘farangs’(meaning foreigner), are welcomed in most establishments.

The Virtues Of Chinese Food

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

Chinese food traditions have adapted freely with time. Over the course of more than five millenia, these culinary practices have been practiced and improved and have withstood the test of time. For example, steaming, a basic cooking technique, was practiced prolifically centuries before the formation of the first dynasty. Through commerce, non-native ingredients made their way to the kitchens of the court intermingling with the homegrown bounty to produce exceptional, unique and marvelous dishes.

An expertly prepared Chinese dish is expected to appeal to more senses than just the tongue. Its colors should be tantalizing to sight, the ingredients should be of uniform size and it should smell delicious. There should be contrasting tastes and textures within the meal; if one course is crisp, it should be offset by another one that is smooth. A mild dish is paired with a flavorful one, thereby always trying to create a balance. It is important to have this equality of yin and yang.

Real Chinese diets are mostly vegetarian. Fats and meats are applied sparsely for flavoring and very few dishes involve deep frying. This is due to the fact that fats and meats can be quite expensive in China. As a result, real Chinese food is quite beneficial to your health because most of the recipes are low in carbohydrates and calories. Chinese people also prefer to incorporate bean curd instead of meat and dairy. Tofu is full of good fats and proteins and are a great alternative to meats.

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

When many people, singles and families alike, think about booking a holiday, many of them would only think about going to the beach for a fortnight’s lounging on the beach under the sun and swimming in warm, blue waters.

However, many of the best, most famous beach locations are magnets for crowds of people. It seems that most people like the sand, the sea and the sun. Now some people go to these destinations precisely because they are busy. They like the crowds and the night clubs that appeal to them. Mainly singles go to these kinds of destinations and a holiday affair is not far from many peoples’ minds.

Couples and older people may desire a little less noise, pollution and commotion. However, there are beaches which meet these requirements too. Often they are private beaches. Some have hotels on them but some do not. Those that do not frequently have inland beach cottage rental properties instead. These are nearly always self-catering.

Personalized Panties

No comments yet - CommentLuv enabled! Urban Fashion and Urban Culture

I hope that you do not think that the topic of panties or knickers is rude or taboo, because I am not out to shock or upset anyone with this piece. No, rather, this article is being written to point out the fun that you can have with your underwear. After all, underwear is not rude or dirty and the vast majority of people in the world wear it, I should think.

But I do not want to talk about men’s underpants in this piece and I do not even want to talk about ordinary knickers, I want to talk about personalized panties. Personalized panties are all the rage. In fact they have been for a long time, but before you either had to do the custom embroidery yourself or you had to put up with the off-the-shelf personalized panties.

Often their slogans were ‘not quite right’, if you know what I mean. Typical writing on personalized panties was: ‘Unwrap Before You Eat’ or ‘Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here’. They were a bit tawdry to say the least. Then came the: ‘I’m Dick’s Bit Of Fluff’ type, but they all wear a bit thin after a while, saucy as they may be.
