Taipei may be the biggest city in Taiwan. It is popularly known to be shopper’s paradise especially throughout the holidays. It has even made a mark as the one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia because of its grand scale Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world. Taipei 101 got its name from the 101 shopping stores of great varieties housed within its vast shopping mall located in the lower floors. Taipei is among the cultural, commercial and industrial leaders in Asia as evident in its infrastructure and economic developments. With 12 urban districts having a population of more than 2.6 million. Its people are known to be one of the friendliest and most respectful in the entire Asian region. For travelers, you can easily find grand and humble hotels and accommodations that are budget-friendly. Climate: Taipei has what we call a humid subtropical climate with an average temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius. Throughout the summer season, its temperature can soar up to 29.4 degrees Celsius. In winter, temperature drops to an common of 11 degrees Celsius. Summers in Taipei are extremely humid and sometimes with freaky rain showers and thunderstorms. The city also enjoys its share of winter months but it is generally short and mild every year.
Transportation: Taiwan’s High-speed Train is one of the finest in Asia which started operation in 2007. Taipei is connected by this bullet train to a lot of of Taiwan’s cities in the west coast such as Zuoying, Tainan, Chiayi, Taichung, Hsinchu and Bancio among others. It also has a comprehensive center for bus lines and MRT systems. Its public transportation systems are ranked one of the best in the world.
